Calling all food and wine enthusiasts! Make your way to Franschhoek over the weekend of 15, 16 and 17 June for Cook Franschhoek, where local, well-known establishments will be offering visitors a range of themed activities, focussed on these elements.
The Franschhoek Wine Valley, South Africa’s Gourmet Capital, will once again be hosting the annual Bastille Festival over the weekend of the 14th and 15th of July, where locals and visitors will be celebrating the Valley’s centuries-old French Huguenot heritage. The Food and Wine Marquee, open from 12 noon until 5pm, is always the focal point which draws people to the hub of activity. Delicious food on offer includes oysters, sushi, hand-made chocolate and fresh salmon trout from the area.
Say goodbye to the grey moods of winter and celebrate the arrival of spring by heading off to the beautiful village of Franschhoek over the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of September for the annual Franschhoek Uncorked festival. Franschhoek wineries in and around the scenic valley welcome the fresh, new season, using the opportunity to showcase their exciting new vintages and releases, and putting on a string of special events for visitors.
