Day 1 Our adventure starts from Cape Town when you are collected by a DEAT registered guide and drive through the Du Toits Kloof Mountain Pass – an experience in itself – to Worcester. Along the way there are various things to see and do and of course a delicious lunch to be had in Montagu. A warm welcome awaits us when we arrive in Oudtshoorn as our overnight stop.
Day 2 Awaken refreshed and ready for a day filled with many wonderful places. After breakfast we head out to the Cango Caves, followed by the Cheetah farm and if you are brave enough you might want to do a crocodile cage dive. The Highgate Ostrich farm is always a highlight where we enjoy lunch and have a good chuckle at those adventurous enough to attempt a ride on one of the big birds. The late afternoon takes us through George along the beautiful coastline of the Garden Route to Knysna, a quaint fishers village where we will overnight.
Day 3 Enjoy some time at leisure, exploring the many mysteries of this popular tourist destination before setting sail on a luxurious catamaran on the Knysna Lagoon. Take a turn to helm this beauty and enjoy the lovely scenic view of the Knysna head. We depart Knysna for Mosselbay, where we meet up with the Outeniqua Tjoe-Choo, which sets off from the Diaz Museum on a scenic route to George. Upon arrival at the Outenique Transport Museum you will transfer to Victoria Bay were we will overnight in the “closest B&B to the sea in Africa”.
Day 4 Our next trip will take us back to Mosselbay for a few interesting landmarks such as the Post Office Tree, through Swellendam and a couple of history filled towns on route to Hermanus. Time permitting we will enjoy lunch in Hermanus, where we will hope to spot some whales (August through November). Our final stretch will take us back to Cape Town where this action packed journey comes to an end, until next time.
