Robert Louis Stevenson said that wine is bottled poetry, I agree with the man, and if at this point you do not agree a taste of some of our South African wines WILL make you change your mind. Your tour guide is a proud South African and there is nothing they are more passionate about than wine and their knowledge of it and he/she will be pleased to share this with you.
Head out to the gorgeous Franschoek Valley, home of excellent food and even better wine makers. Here you will taste some of the most exquisite wines on offer, a cellar tour of one of the vineyard will make you appreciate wine making even more. You will also have the opportunity to buy some of these wines as we guarantee the memory will not be enough.
This is your tour and we will be happy to accommodate you should you have a particular vineyard in mind, however if not we will suggest our favorite favorites. Having said this we will introduce you to Haut Cabrier and their amazing Pierre Jordan Cuvee Brut and Belle Rose. We will take you to Tokara Wines and depending on the time of year you might be in luck and taste some amazing brandy.
The next stop will be Spier Wine Estate where they have what they call "an Eagle encounter" when they feeding the eagles and "a cheetah experience", giving you the opportunity to pet a cheetah and see all the great work that has been done for these amazing animals.
Your guide will make sure you arrive back at your hotel safely, so taste as much as you want and enjoy it!!!
