The Garden Route is a popular stretch along the South Coast of South Africa. It starts in the Western Cape at the beautiful Mosselbay along the N2 and stretches all the way to the majestic Storm River in the Eastern Cape. The Garden Route includes towns such as George, Knysna, Wilderness, Oudtshoorn, Plettenberg Bay and Natures Valley in the Tsitsikama Forest. In fact the route sits between the Tsitsikama and Outenique Mountains and the Indian Ocean. The moderate climate makes it not only the perfect adventure destination but also ideal for hiking and eco-tourism. The unique Cape fynbos inhabits the forests and wetlands in the area. Many bays along the Garden Route allow for whale and dolphin watching during the year.
